Intensive Family Intervention Services (IFI)

A.C.E. Community Support Services LLC assesses the need for IFI services on a case-by-case basis, determining the scope of need for these more intensive services before meeting with a family in the privacy of their own home. IFI is designed to be an intensive service provided to children and adolescents who have severe emotional disturbances or substance abuse issues. IFI services can include, but are not limited to:

  • Crisis Intervention
  • Intensive Individual/Family Therapy
  • Parent Training
  • Behavioral Modification
  • Substance Abuse Counseling
  • Rehabilitative supports to prevent the need for out-of-home placement and/or more restrictive services.

IFI services are conducted primarily by a team of ACE professionals, including a Licensed Therapist, a master’s-level mental health professional, and a Paraprofessional, whose main focus is locating and linking the family to community-based resources.

This counseling option encompasses all aspects of a child’s/adolescent’s life, allowing our experienced professionals to address the need for help at any angle. The family unit, school representatives, community agencies, and other clinical services are able to participate in the IFI process in order to provide a full range of support for the individual.

IFI services are provided to the child or adolescent and his/her family several days per week, for up to two hours per visit, for up to 90 days, as prescribed and approved through Medicaid and the Department of Behavioral Health (DBHDD). Our IFI teams are generally available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, for families in immediate crisis or experiencing urgent medical or mental health challenges.
